Network Operations Center
Our Network Operations Center (NOC) provides 24/7 monitoring of the
network platform, servers and the Internet. This helps to identify potential
issues and provide resolution before any problems or technical challenges occur.
Access to the NOC is restricted to authorized personnel only. The environment is
climate-controlled for temperature and humidity according to industry
specifications for optimum hardware performance. Furthermore, our NOC is
supported by managed backup generator capacity so that any potential loss from primary
power sources will have no effect on your connectivity.
Technical Support
Innovative Software Solutions provides primary technical support during
normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
24/7 emergency support is also provided outside normal business hours by an
on-call team member.
Internet Routers and Firewall
Our internet routers and firewalls are equipped with a failover
configuration. We utilize Juniper’s modular architecture which
provides the versatility needed to adapt to changes in
network the technology, as new services and applications
become available. Our Juniper NetScreen-25 Firewall has
throughput measured at 100 mbps with the ability to handle
up to 32,000 simultaneous sessions. As a result, the delivery
of safe, secure connectivity is virtually guaranteed.
Server Hardware
Based on criteria such as performance tests by J.D. Power and Associates, our
server hardware is among the most respected in the internet industry and includes
Dell PowerEdge, IBM NetFinity, IBM xSeries, and IBM iSeries. Backup servers are maintained for replication.
Connectivity Redundancy
MCI, the industry leader in Internet connectivity, delivers two dedicated
high-bandwidth T1s to the Internet. Each T1 circuit is routed via separate
cities within the United States supplying rapid and reliable line speeds averaging
1.5 mbps. Load balancing and fail-over technology supplies our clients with continuous,
stable and fast connectivity.
Backup and Recovery
All systems are backed up daily to removable media, then transported and stored
off-site for security purposes. All databases are likewise backed up to disk allowing
for immediate restoration if necessary. The backup process is streamlined so that all
internet sites and applications can be restored within minutes should a total failure occur.
Operating Systems and Platforms
Depending on our clients preferences and/or needs,
Innovative Software Solutions utilizes IBM OS/400, Microsoft
Windows 2000 Advanced Server, or Windows 2003 Server,
configured with either IBM WebSphere Application Server or
Microsoft IIS. Both platforms are fine-tuned and maintained by
certified, experienced professionals.
